WATCH: Dj Quest Take Control starring DJ Fresh, DJ Shimza, & Mo Flava.

Ali Phiri also known as DJ Quest was born in the City of Kings in Bulawayo Zimbabwe.

He grew up in a small township called Mzilikazi. 

From a young age he had an ear for music, he was exposed to all musical genres whilst growing up from hip hop, urban grooves, golden oldies and even rave music. He was always fascinated by rave music which ended up being an obsession for him which landed him trying out Electronic Dance Music(EDM). Dj Quest was mentored by DJ Face, he let him work in his studio. The rest of his knowledge was gained through watching tutorials on YouTube. His musical influences include Swedish House Mafia, Black Coffee, Avicii, Wizkid, Maphorisa just to mention a few. DJ Quest one of the few artists in Africa to master EDM. 

His first single is called Take Control which is also the album title of his debut album. His debut video include South African music icons DJ Fresh, DJ Shimza, Mo Flava, TolAssMo just to mention a few.
